GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Andy Crouch (author of Culture Makers and director of Christianity Today’s Christian Vision Project) guides viewers through a fascinating discussion about the definition of culture and how that definition impacts our decision-making and life choices as a Christian. Featuring commentary from leaders Tim Keller, James Meeks, Lauren Winner, and Brenda Salter-McNeil, this DVD follows the real-life stories of everyday people, from an artist to a politician, and the purposeful choices they have made to relate to a particular culture. Each example illustrates the power of the Gospel to impact any culture for the common good according to God’s design.

The DVD is divided into six sessions:

Session 1 Begin - God calls the church to be a counterculture for the common good.
Session 2 Dwell - When we live closely with others, we find new opportunities to minister.
Session 3 Unite - We serve more effectively and joyfully when we serve together.
Session 4 Reconcile - God wants to heal our racial and ethnic divisions, especially in and through his church.
Session 5 Invest - Transforming entire communities begins when we give ourselves to people, one by one.
Session 6 Abide - Spiritual disciplines help us to abide in Christ so we can serve faithfully.

Included is a Leader’s Guide with step-by-step lesson plans, Scriptures, discussion questions, and activities. Bonus activities are available free online at www.christianvisionproject.com.

This DVD was recently repackaged under the title Intersect|Culture.
