We aren't really learning what it means to live in community until conflict comes. John Burke says it's important to address to the group from the beginning that it will happen. We all have the tendency to run from conflict, but living out Matthew 18 is the way to handle it in your group.

Having been involved with so many churches where Mt 18 has not been followed or taught, it is refreshing to see and an important concept for all of us to learn, follow and teach!!! Thank you!

“Set conflict as something that will happen.” I have never thought of that before, and I can totally see where that would set my group up for success in that area. If we expect conflict, then when it comes up we will have a plan and be able to find some resolutions. Good stuff.
