Submission Guidelines for Small Group Trader
The Small Group Trader articles consist partly of user-submitted content. We target the average small group leader and
we are looking for authentic and relevant writing that deals with the every day details leaders face in guiding their
groups to a deeper walk with Christ.
When You Write...
1 Know your audience & connect with their felt need
2 Don’t preach; write as if you’re having a conversation over coffee
3 Integrate real-life stories and experiences; show- don’t tell
4 Be real; share weaknesses and struggles
Once an article is chosen for use online, the author will receive named credit for the story as well as a bio
(which can feature links to blogs, personal websites or book pages). Writers are responsible for the content of
their stories and for getting permission for any quotes outside of fair usage. Email your submission to

Before You Send...
1 Submit your article as a Word attachment
2 Articles should be 500-1,000 words and double-spaced
(we reserve the right to edit articles)
3 Include your name and a brief bio
4 Double-check for spelling and grammar before submitting
5 Email your submission; please refrain from phone or fax pitches
